Life in the Underworld wasn’t as bad as Persephone though. True, it was dark, damp, quiet. But Pain and Panic were funny guys. And Hades too. Unintentionally.

Hades has said that she would have been his servant, but he left her alone. They met at meal time, and she was used to his plans about Olympus, as he was used to her dreaming about her new mortal life.



“Where’s that mortal babe? She can’t be gone…without sayin’ anything…”
-PAIN! PANIC! Have you found her?- Hades shouted.
-No, your most lugubriousness!- groaned Pain.
-She’s disappeared…- Panic whispered.
-SHE CAN’T BE DISAPPEARED!!- he erupted.

Something was aching in Hades’ chest. “Fear. Fear for what?”
He quickly floated through the tunnels. “She’s my prisoner. She’s the key. It’s perfectly normal to be worried about her…”

“DAMN. Think. THINK. There’s only one place that is forbidden to her: the River Styx area!”
He smiled, relieved. But the ache did not stop.
“She’s alone. In a dangerous place. DAMN! I won’t go.”

He took a deep breath. “I’ll be faster than her.”
He arrived by the cliff and saw Persephone hanging out.
-OH C’MON BABE! WHAT THE HELL ARE YA DOIN’ HERE?- Hades yelled.
Persephone swiftly turned and Hades saw her loosing balance.
“No!”

He had the time to grab her hand. He cought her and held her in his tight embrace. She was terrified.
“Gods, her heart’s thudding. Her heart…”
-Thank you- Persephone murmured.
Hades realized he was holding her up, their chests so close and, feeling uncomfortable, dropped her.
